Meet InSpire Dance

A Little Bit About Me

Since watching the first season of Strictly Come Dancing at the age of 7, I knew I wanted to become a professional dancer. I went from dancing up and down the supermarket aisles to taking weekly dance classes, then eventually started entering Ballroom and Latin competitions nationally and internationally.

At the age of 17 I began to teach Salsa and Kizomba across the UK. I've always been passionate about working with children and qualified as a primary school teacher in 2019. This was also the year that I retired from competitive dancing and opened my own Ballroom and Latin dance school. In July 2022, we changed the name of the school to InSpire Dance.

Find out a little more about our dance teachers below!

Hello

My name is Fran

I teach Ballroom and Latin, Commercial Ballroom and Latin and Baby Ballroom classes.

As a competitor my favourite dance was Rumba! Nowadays I love watching our pupils enjoying themselves while dancing and making friends in classes. I feel so proud when I see the children's determination and concentration as they develop their technique. In my spare time I love to go to different dance classes and challenge myself to learn new styles of dance.

I also work part time as a primary school teacher.

Hello

My name is Jodie

I teach Jazz, Lyrical, Street and Commercial classes.

I'm grateful that my love for dance has enabled me to travel the world performing! My favourite part of my role as a dance teacher is choreographing group dances and I have had the privilege of choregraphing some amazing mass movement performances at sporting events. I teach dancing alongside my full time job as a primary school teacher.
